Your audio.
Your privacy.

Saptak has no account system, analytics, advertising, subscriptions or application backend. It does not upload your audio to a Saptak service or permanently import it into a private library.

Your files stay yours

You choose a folder. Saptak opens original recordings read-only and uses native bookmarks to retain permission to reopen your selection. It stores folder access preferences, the last playback queue, file URLs and playback position locally in its own app storage. These are not used for tracking.

Cloud folders and downloads

iCloud Drive and other document providers may download or cache files through operating-system services. Downloads can use device storage and providers may later evict them. AirPlay and document providers may use the network; Saptak does not operate a cloud service.

Search, metadata and sharing

Search uses names and paths in your current library scan. Queries are not saved or sent to a service. Embedded titles, artists, albums and artwork are read for current playback without changing the source file.

Sharing happens only when you request it, through the system share interface. The operating system or your chosen destination may create an export copy or upload the file. Cloud files may need to download before sharing.

System playback controls

Native system controls receive track titles, available artist/album/artwork, playback timing and queue context. Saptak does not publish file URLs or full paths to those surfaces. Apple-managed playback surfaces and diagnostics remain subject to operating-system settings and behavior.

Retention and deletion

Saptak retains the selected folder bookmark, last playback queue and playback position locally until they are replaced or the app's local data is removed. Choosing another folder replaces the saved folder selection. Removing local app data does not delete your original audio.

On iPhone or iPad, Delete App removes Saptak's local app data; Offload App keeps it. On Mac, deleting the app can leave its container data behind; see support for local-data removal guidance. Operating-system backups and provider-managed downloads are controlled separately by Apple and the relevant provider.

Questions

For help or privacy questions, use the support page or open a GitHub issue. Reports are public and require a GitHub account. There is no Saptak server account or server-side listening record to delete. Do not include private audio or personal file details in public reports.

Beta testing and feedback

Apple operates TestFlight distribution and its feedback tools. For beta feedback, use TestFlight, and avoid attaching personal audio, file paths or sensitive screenshots.

This website

This site adds no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, third-party font requests or cookies. GitHub Pages hosts the site and may process standard web request information under GitHub’s privacy statement. Alice is served with the site, so loading the font does not contact a font service. The optional support link takes you to Buy Me a Coffee, which has its own privacy practices.
